E o prémio para as PIORES migas de espargos do Alentejo vai para... o restaurante O Prego. Experiencia que pude comprovar quando, com mais 3 pessoas lá fui almoçar no dia 21.Julho.2021. Ficámos à espera bastante tempo pelos pratos, julgávamos nós que a espera se deveria a uma atenta confeção das iguarias que, a julgar pelos preços elevados, só poderias ser boas. Grande desilusão: as espetadas de gambas e ananás vinham... com bacon (porquê? e não passavam de uma sucessão de 3 ingredientes sêcos, sendo o único acompanhamento umas batatas fritas às rodelas, sem a menor gracinha. As migas, para além de pobres em sabor, tinham a consistência típica de algo confeccionado previamente e descongelado à pressa: densas e nada macias, a acompanhar uma carne de porco insípida, que envergonharia qualquer lar Alentejano. A simpatia do serviço condizia com a qualidade da comida... fraquinha, fraquinha. Aspecto positivo: percebi porque é que o restaurante se chama “o Prego”... é uma alusão à vontade com que o cliente fica de bater com a cabeça na parede (como um prego a ser martelado enquanto se pergunta “mas porque é que eu escolhi vir aqui? Mas porque é que eu escolhi vir aqui?” Não tenho dúvida de que se come bem no Alentejo, mas não é neste restaurante de certeza. Definitivamente, a não repetir. And the award for the WORST food in Alentejo goes to ... “Prego” restaurant, which I had the misfortune to experience first hand with 3 other people when we went there for lunch on the 21st July 2021. We were left waiting for quite some time (we thought it had to do with the time it took to prepare the delicacies which, judging by the high prices, could only be really good . Talk about disappointment: The prawns and pineapple kebabs had… bacon (why? and were nothing but a sequence of 3 dry ingredients which came with… crisps, and nothing else. The “migas” (a bread based typical dish were flavourless and had clearly been prepared beforehand, de-frosted and heated for the occasion: they were thick and hard, and the bland pork bits which came with them would shame any Alentejo home. The service matched the food´s lack of quality... very weak. Positive aspect: I realised why the restaurant is called “Prego” (Portuguese for “nail” … it alludes to the desire a client gets of banging his/her head against a wall (repeatedly, as a nail is hammered thinking “why oh why did I choose to eat here?” I am positive there is a lot of good food in Alentejo, but not at this restaurant. I will not go there again.

Great Services and food. We had great meal, wines were very nice. Zapateira is highly recommended as a sharing starter.

This is a good restaurante to eat a good steak with a nice beer, the service is regular and the price is friendly. also the Tipical Bifanas (sandwich of pork steak) are very good.

A comida é caseira, muito bem confecionada e com muita qualidade, o serviço é 5 Estrelas e há uma boa relação preço e qualidade.
