But the Ristoran... read more This Restaurant is our new FAVORITE place in Civitavecchia, Italy. We have tried many restaurants since Covid ended many of our favorite spots. But the Ristorante Da Baffone is absolutely the very best in Civitavecchia. The restaurant is spotless, the staff is amazing friendly, efficient, and professional and the food....oh the food it is absolutely the best of all the restaurants that we tried in Civitavecchia. . We went there on Sunday night and it was so good we returned on Monday night and we will go there again tomorrow and on Wednesday our last night in Civitavecchia (which is our 54th Wedding Anniversary). My hubby likes the pizza which is so big it overhangs the plate, last night I had the Spaghetti Da Baffone which was absolutely fantastic, full of all different types of sea food. Tonight I had the Penne ala Arrabiata which was also delicious. They ended both of our evenings with a wonderful chilled creamy lemoncello. Can 't wait for tomorrow night....oh we always get the House Wine the Vino de la Casa, you can get white or red we get the Rosso which is the red and very good, so good it is not necessary to get any special wine .

The food is... read more We have been coming here for decades.....it is a family-run restaurant that has grown and can serve large parties for weddings and first communions. The food is good, there is an open grill for all sorts of meats. The pasta dishes are varied, although somewhat too salty. The outside seating is a real pleasure on a hot day....last Sunday a group of us, all friends, met and spent 4 hours at an exterior table, seated under the tent covering in the shade of the marvelous forest trees all around the restaurant. A very enjoyable meal! The service could have been a bit better, there was some confusion with our order and it was rather slow, but we enjoyed each others' company and didn't mind. I noticed that there is a play area for children, so that is something to consider for families who might need some distraction for kids at a family meal! On the whole I can recommend this restaurant, for a Sunday family meal, for a special occasion, a romantic dinner or just for tourists exploring the Castelli Romani!

We had a pleasant lunch with overall good quality... read more A group of 5 of us ended up here after visiting a relative in a nearby hospital. Place chosen for convenience. We had a pleasant lunch with overall good quality food, wine and service. Being Sunday there were some larger families with crying infants and also the family dog. I would not normally choose a place where animals are allowed to sit 4 feet away from other guests. The waiter brought the wrong dessert to the table rushed away before we could point out the mistake request a change.

We tried original and creative dishes, although they were often too salty for our taste (especially the first courses). The place is very cute, with a fresh and pleasant atmosphere, and the staff was friendly. The caramel dessert was overall bitter, but overall the experience was positive and enjoyable!
