A small cafe on the main road in Torre del Mar, near Malaga run by Ex-pats Mark and Shelia Grimshaw. My wife and I have eaten here more than once as we were visiting Mark and Shelia from knowing them during our days based in Royal Air Force Germany during the height of the Cold War. Very friendly couple run front of house, their son is the main chef. View all feedback.
What Nadia Nevárez doesn't like about La Tasca:
Spanish by name, 100% English by nature! Popular with British ex pats.. Not my cup of tea.. No coffee available towards end of day.. Owner friendly, veggie dishes catered for, (inc full English but as I say, not really my thing. I use it to meet people as it is easy to find if they have not been to the town before and there is parking outside. (But be aware of the blue zone! You have to pay during the high hours. If you want a little taste of home, La Tasca serves a mean full English breakfast as well as some tasty and healthy extras such as Avocado Smash on toast with poached eggs. The proprietor is a great lad who will serve you well. Get on down!!
Prior to visiting the market we called in to have a bit of breakfast at this great cafe which we have visited before. Run by a very pleasant Mancunian family with son Josh cooking up “ a storm in the kitchen “. Sausage and egg sandwich for me and toast for the missus washed down with a pot of good strong tea. Great service, friendly chat, good food and all at a very reasonable price. Nice!!!

We've tried breakfast, burgers and curry wurst and everything was delicious. Mark and Sheila are lovely hosts and Josh is a very talented chef. Lovely sunny bar to watch the world go by.
