Die Vis Vlekhuis - Velddrif

We were told that we would get the best fish on Veldrif at this establishment. Well, let me confirm. This is the best I have had in a very long time. This will be a definite stop every time we visit Veldrif.

Great quality food and really good prices. Looks and smells like West Coast. Very pleasant surprise. For someone who doesn't really like chips, mine disappeared very quickly. Prawns and more calamari delectable and seems so fresh.

Food was freshly prepared. Nice big portions of fish and chips. Prices is reasonable.

Our waiter made us feel at home right from the word go. Great service. Everyone around the table was very happy with their meals. Portion size, preparation and taste were spot on. I would not recommend. After 70 minutes wait, I went to follow up on our order. The person in charge checked what we ordered and acted like the food was being prepared. After 10 minutes we got served calamari that was half cooked and still raw inside. Would be a courtesy that if you have forgotten our order, to at least cook the food properly and make the wait worthwhile it wasn't very busy either). The only positive is that the outside is dog friendly.
