La Sobronade - Vaunac

An absolutely lovely restaurant with very efficient and friendly service. The owners and chef couldn't be nicer or more helpful. The set menu de jour is fantastic value for money and includes a quarter of wine. We have been several times amd today's menu included a warm seafood bake....absolutely delicious. The main course of maison frites and jambon with mushroom sauce and haricot beans was also fantastic. A choice of desserts followed and the illes floatant was really good. You must go!!

Would not recommend for dinner since portion are very untidy and would never again eat here again for dinner and maybe I would for lunch

I met with some motor cyclist friends last week here for lunch, we had soup, quiche, salad, pork veg and frites, then cheese and pudding with coffee. Great value meal and was enjoyed by us all. A definite revisit!

We are touring Europe on our motorbike. On the N21 through the Perigord-Limousin, we noticed an unassuming sign pointing out accomodations and food in Vaunac. And so we found the Auberge La Sobronade. What a find! Great first impression on walking in. Very pretty dining room, a collection of old coffee mills on the shelves behing the bar. Friendly staff. Menu of the day at 15€ includes 5 courses, water, wine, and coffee. Super deal, but also really good food. My Tabouleh salad was perfectly dressed for my taste, the steak and vegetable fries were super. After lunch a stroll through the little village and its surroundings rounded out a wonderful lunch break!

Welcomed as at home the restaurateurs are direct, smiling, passionate about their terroir and lkus they obviously have good taste. Take without hesitation the snails that are produced at 2 km from there and the omelette with ceps accompanied by its small potatoes returned to duck fat (or goose)?. the child menu is well-docked with such good products - duck needles are delicious! Bravo!
