The menu is flexible, but sticking with the specials is recommended. The owner, Carmine, is accommodating and willing to make off-menu items upon request. With excellent food, good service, and a casual ambiance, this trattoria delivers a true taste of Italy. Whether it's pasta with Bolognese sauce, quail appetizers, or lamb chops, the food is consistently tasty and satisfying. Overall, a must-visit for a genuine Italian dining experience.
It 's not just about the food. It 's about the experience. A Trattoria in Italy is typically a no frills kinda place, family run, where one can expect homestyle cooking with generous portions. Trattora 'Da Carmine ' is essentially that. Understated location, fresh ingredients, excellent variety. Flexible menu options...We 've been several times now and will continue to go back. Carmine 's a great host tell him what you 'd like to eat...on or off the menu...and consider it done.
I went for the first time today at 3PM. Surprised it was open. Very ordinary chalkboard menu but they were willing to improvise. Food was simple but well prepared. Would have preferred olive oil on the table with bread but the owner was busy. Would return.
We find ourselves in canada for holidays and after visiting many places and many restaurants we felt the need to get the real Italian cuisine. I admit that I was very satisfied, excellent first and second with very abundant portions. compliments to the cook
Excellent food, amazing friendly and attentive service, will definitely become one of our new favourite local restaurants
This is authentic Italian at it's best. You'll find Italian ladies cooking in the back and your server will tell you what's fresh and on the menu that day. If you're looking for good food, a warm welcoming atmosphere and a casual ambiance, go here. The service was good and if you go in and order one if the specials, you won't be disappointed. There is a menu but I would recommend that you stick with the specials. It is, after all, a trattoria. Go with the flow.
