Went to the Moose on a Friday for lunch and it wasn't packed but a decent crowd. I ordered the steak Sandwich with sweet potato fries and i really enjoyed it. The other guys in my group had a variety of meals they all seemed to like their food. I thought the service was good. I would go back anytime. View all feedback.
What Valentín Estrada doesn't like about Moose & Firkin:
The server was nice, the service was was not, and the food was not. There was 13 of usAnd out of the 13 only 2 people enjoyed their meal, they were the last 2 to arrive. The food was dry and somewhat cold, I will never go,there again. View all feedback.
After golfing, we enjoyed a delicious dinner at this restaurant. The food was fantastic and the service was top-notch. It's a traditional pub with a great variety of draft beers to choose from.
Upon our return, we were pleased to see that the location had been updated while still maintaining its British theme. The dark wood had been replaced with lighter colors and designs featuring the London Subway routes. The lighting, tables, and chairs had all been changed as well. The variety of beers on tap remained impressive and the staff continued to be friendly. The new menu had a great selection and we thoroughly enjoyed the wings and poutine. This is a fantastic spot to visit regularly and I will definitely return whenever I'm in the area. The restaurant has plenty of TVs, a pool table, and dart boards, giving it a pub-meets-sports bar atmosphere. The Firkin Chain, which includes locations in Brampton, Richmond Hill, Toronto, and previously Niagara Falls (which we miss dearly), is consistently good. We hope they bring back a location in Niagara Falls.
This restaurant is a perfect place to enjoy some late night drinks on a Sunday. We arrived after 11pm and the place was still bustling with great service. The beer prices were reasonable and the drinks were served ice cold. The only downside was the presence of mosquitoes when we attempted to sit outside.
I had never heard of a firkin. Reading the menu, I learned it is a term for a 9-gallon barrel or keg of beer. We came here with our daughter and granddaughter after a hockey game. The service was quick, the waitress was friendly and helpful and the food was delicious. Good portions, too. Would recommend.
Been waiting for 1hour and finnaly our food showed up...very bad service. Food is ok but very disappointed on the hour wait.
