The atmosphere is wonderful, the service is top-notch, and the food is delicious at this restaurant. On top of it all, when it's someone's birthday, a talented Italian man serenades them with a fantastic rendition of "Happy Birthday."
This restaurant is amazing! Our server was so nice, and friendly. If you are going to this restaurant their special are so good! I had the porchetta special it was a big portion I thought it was going to be smaller) and so good!...They have really good alcoholic beverages as well and a good selection. I would recommend anyone to go to this restaurant, then have a stroll in Kleinburg. Amazing service Amazing food Excellent Experience.
My wife and I went for lunch prior to going to the MacMichael gallery in Kleinburg. We had a table on the patio and were told to let them know if we were not happy with it and they would reseat us. My wife was...bothered by a flapping bit of the patio awning but when we asked for a different table were told it was impossible because of bookings and moved the table a few inches. The restaurant remained fairly empty while we were there. There were empty tables around us.That said, the food was very good. I had a porchetta and my wife Arctic char. We had a carafe of house red. Our server was charming and helpful. We would certainly go back.
Four of us came from Toronto to celebrate our friend's birthday. I made a reservation for the patio a week ago, hoping to secure a nice table with shade. Unfortunately, we were given the worst table with no shade at all. It was a very hot day, and sitting there for even a short period of time would have resulted in sunburns. When we asked the person who appeared to be the manager for a different table (as we saw three tables in a nice shaded area), he told us they were reserved for someone else, likely local customers. We tried explaining that no one would enjoy a meal at the table we were given, but he dismissed us and said we were wasting his time. This lack of professionalism was unacceptable. The service was terrible, and we ultimately decided to leave and go to XXI Chophouse instead, where we received great service and food.
It's not too often you come across a restaurant that has exceptional food AND service. Our waitor was a young guy that was very positive and knowledgable in both the food and wine, but also when sharing food the order in which they should be consumed. The food was cooked perfectly. Had the veal steak and seafood linguini - both highly recommended. Equally, the vanilla creme brule was massive! Moreover, it was nice that the owner stopped by to check-in on whether or not the food and service was up to standard. Really great spot and worth the drive to get to. On a side note, the decor is also modern, clean and perfect for a family meal or romantic occassion. Will definitely return and highly recommend!
