We tried Aunt Alice's cake, apple cake, mint cake, and most importantl... read more A café where substitutes are not allowed and the quality and taste are really noticeable. We tried Aunt Alice's cake, apple cake, mint cake, and most importantly, my favorite trio combination that I have loved for decades: crown, punch cake, and cream puff. Unfortunately, Café Dlask brought me a great disappointment: I probably won't enjoy these things anywhere else because at Dlask's it was divine food on a completely different level than anywhere else. Even a relatively ordinary crown with punch cake was excellent, but Dlask's cream puff shot me into gastronomic heaven. I have tried MANY cream puffs in my lifetime, but this is simply perfection. Refined recipe, prime ingredients, and great care in production. I left Varnsdorf reluctantly, knowing that I won't be coming back to my native Central Bohemia anytime soon... but... I will find a reason, even if it has to be that cream puff.

Not only do they have their famous and award-winning cream puffs and gluten-free options, but their other treats are unmatched. And the ice cream...? For example, chocolate with Belgian 72% chocolate, or vanilla with real vanilla....a fairytale. As a bonus, there is excellent service and a pleasant outdoor seating area on the terrace. Good luck!

At the end of April, I set off from Varnsdorf and after 7 weeks, I arrived in Brno. Now I am back home and planning to head to Budapest. #foodsaverun
