happened by chance in this place, drawn by the possibility of eating a la carte because we did not want to make the New Year's Eve. the beginning of the dinner was embarrassing with a tris of expensive, anonymous and insufficient appetizers, in particular regarding the hallucinating polyp with potatoes served cold, gummy and probably decongelato. If in all reviews the potato polyp is rejected I would change it. Fortu... View all feedback.
We ordered trofie with pesto that were almost unreadable (but still fully charged, despite our complaints). Fish was good but we sat on a table close to some plants that were invaded by plant lice. Quite disgusting, I must say. Service was just ok. There are definitively better places to eat in Varazze.
Not busy. Perhaps a sign of what was to come. Had my choice of main course (baked fish) sort of forced on me. There wasn't any other choice. Not much choice of pasta for our 3 year old either spaghetti with clams. Not ideal. It's not particularly nice to have your fish dish showed to a Chinese couple who don't know what fish is before it was delivered to me either. Mains delivered at least 10 minutes apart. Food average at best. Amazingly the couple at the next table were actually given a menu. I wonder what you need to do to get that? 87 euro for two plates of spaghetti and a small orata is just too pricey to excuse all these issues. I could get that in switzerland for less.
First the food was very good. The fresh fish we had had very nice taste. The kids ordered some pasta. The outside dining at the small Square is also very nice during evenings. BUT the dinner was very overpriced. We payed 160 € for two adults and two kids. I can only agree what others write about this reataurant when it comes to pricing. That is a shame as the restaurant itself is very nice.

If in all reviews the potato polyp is rejected I would change it. Fortunately then things have improved with a good scallops and a very good time that however you can not charge euro per person. Sweets of the house interesting. Nice staff. All in all the dinner was pleasant but the price is too high.
The restaurant is located in the centre of Varazze a few steps from the seafront. the menu offers typical dishes of Ligurian cuisine, such as trofie al pesto that are good. friendly and friendly staff. prices are quite high, only weak point of the restaurant.
