If you wish to grab South Indian food in Varanasi, this should be on the top of your list. They serve authentic Tamil style dosa, the cheese one is really awesome. Chilly Idly is something that will twist your tongue and Vadas are equally good. For students it's a bit on a higher side but aptly priced if taste and quality are concerned. View all feedback.
What Monica Dalal doesn't like about Sri Naivedyam:
This place is the best for south indian food in varanasi. I don't know why people recommend kerala cafe for south Indian. Not over priced. But whole staff is so so rude. Waiters don't behave properly and this place is unhygienic too, you may see some mice there. But for south indian food.. This is the best.
I always order their south Indian platter. Sufficient for 2 people. Bhu student discount 10%. View all feedback.
With that South Indian naming f the restaurant, one can easily figure out the cuisine easily. Yeaah, it's a nice family place with just basic amenities of a restaurant. Don't expect a hi-fi treatment with a great decor. It's better to have selected items there for example, Dosa and specially that lemon rice. One thing is Praiseworthy, each time you go there they serve you with a rassam in the beginning, which truly tastes amazing.

It was my first visit to Naivedyam. I have ordered one cheese butter masala dosa and fried idlies. Ihave ordered sizzler brownie but eventually it was not available so I end up having tutti-frutti icecream. The food was awesome, including the sambar and coconut chutney. They have a special sort of chutney made from ginger which I found it very unique and delicious, it hits your taste buds and boom...amazing flavour in your mouth. The idlies was the most tender and soft that I ever had..like sponge. The dosa was great with cheese at every inch of dosa, but i don't like the potato filling because it was a masala dosa and I personally like a spicy one if you say 'masala'. But over all the food was good. The ambience is good not very classy as it look from outside. The service was not good, I have to sit for 7 mins waiting for waiter to get extra samber. To conclude it: Food 7/10 Ambience 5/10 Service 4/10
Restaurant is a old building which they have renovated. Plus point - huge parking space Food ***° ( for South Indian item) *** (For rest of the menu) Staff **° Hygiene/Cleanliness **° Service **° (they take alot of time) Ambience *** ( Will recommend to visit during evening hours. Will not recommend during day/ lunch hours)
