Szechuan Garden - Vapi

The quality of food has drastically declined. The last two visits were the worst. Our shrimp were bad. Recently we sent back two dishes because they were cold. I suggest that the owner visit the complaints before it 's too late. Vegetarian options: I have not observed

Is it the best Chinese food I've ever had? No. Is it the best Chinese food in Concord? Very likely. The General Tso's chicken doesn't have the broccoli, but if you ask for it spicy they will make it actually spicy and the chicken and sauce are both excellent. The orange chicken is also great. Crab Rangoons are a little heavy and a little chewy for my liking, but they're fine. Lo Mein is pretty salty, but still great. Altogether, the food is well prepared. Decor is dated, but who cares? Full-service experience is great and takeout is quick.

I don't give out 1 star ratings often. Usually only if I end up throwing out the food. This was the case for Szechuan garden. The general tso's chicken only filled half the container and contained no vegetables like you get from the majority of other Asian restaurants. The meats were all very dry and chewy, like the life was sucked out of them. Dumplings were just ground pork in a dough wrapper. We will not be ordering from here again. We ended up throwing out all the food.
