Wendy's - Vandalia

My visit wasn't terrible, but there were some issues. The service at the drive-thru was a bit abrupt. Sometimes the automated speaker system helps manage orders, while other times it doesn't work as well. This can be confusing for customers, especially when they try to place their orders immediately after hearing the prompts. Occasionally, they get cut off and told to wait, but there are also moments of silence where customers have to wait after they’ve already ordered, which can lead to rudeness during those awkward pauses.

Most Wendy's drive-thrus tend to be slower. However, the location in Vandalia was only about a 5-minute drive away. I decided to pick up my mobile order there, but when I arrived, the doors were closed during lunch hours. I ended up canceling my order and going somewhere else.

The service here is absolutely terrible. They frequently get the menu items wrong. For example, they put ketchup and other condiments on a Jr. Bacon Cheeseburger when it should only have mayo, lettuce, tomato, and bacon. Additionally, the buns on two chicken sandwiches were messed up, and it all happened very quickly!

After waiting for 20 minutes, I came to an avocado salad without avocado. I called to ask a free salat and was told by the manager that I don't deserve a free salat, but next time I come into her, they will give me a free side of avocado.

This drive thru has to be the worst drive thru I’ve ever been to. Expect to sit in line for a half hour or more every single time you go. I understand being short staffed but there’s no reason to have anyone sit at the speaker box for 20 minutes while all the cars in front of them are moving forward.
