My... read more This place is so tiny you might walk past..don't Best homemade pasta I have ever had. Wonderful owner was right there waiting on us making our food perfect. My mom year old daughter still talks about it. Never been to Italy, but I imagine this is what authentic Italian food tastes like. Fresh, flavorful and made with lots of love. Highly recommend.

The portions were quite... read more We spent $30 on two pastas which had hardly any sauce or flavour at all. The pasta itself was good but it didn't meet our expectations. The portions were quite small too so we had to go and get extra food from the market. (We're both slim.)When we waited for our food a friend of the staff was sat in the waiting area so we had to just hover by the door for ten minutes as they conversed in their own language, which we found quite awkward.

We went to the Safeway numerous times and I had overlooked this place thinking it was just a crappy takeaway hotbox style shop on the corner. Boy was I wrong! The venue has a small dine in area in the form of a loft. We decided to give it a try and honestly this was the best gnocchi I've ever had. The chefs are in the kitchen making the pasta/ sauces/ desserts from scratch as you dine. It was so good that we ate here 3 nights in a row! It was such a low cost for such excellent quality! A few nights later we decided to try the Italian place across the road which looked a little fancier. Bad mistake! Nothing will ever compare to the delicious homemade food at Verifood! I did get a little confused as the name is different at the store to online? The bad part for me was that the little loft was over the kitchen so my clumsy self was scared of knocking something over and it landing in there, or worse on someone! I would be worried to have kids up there. Otherwise impeccable service, price, food and location! I can only dream of the day I get to return to West End, Vancouver for another meal here.
