the quality of raw fish in shizenya is the next stage. they offer a unique organic menu and serve sushi with brown rice. it's good to eat, but it's a little overpriced. do not expect large portions. personally I find the quality of the fish to value the price. I find the ambiente and the facility of the restaurant to be quite inconspicuous. come here for good quality raw fish, and delicious organic food. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Shizenya:
I may have made a poor choice in my order, as the food was subpar. The dish lacked any discernible flavor, neither good nor bad. While the meat quality was decent, the overall dish was basic and not worth the money. I opted for the braised chicken with rice, hoping for a dish similar to Oyaku Don or a non-deep fried Chicken Katsu Don. View all feedback.
What a Nice Surprise! The desk at The Wall Marriot recommended this establishment as good and reasonably priced. It was a Monday evening so very quiet but we were welcomed and just wanted a light meal. Ordered some nigiri sushi and tempura. Both were excellent; fresh and delicious. The house warm Saki smooth and elegant. Service was wonderful. Recommend.
I had lunch special with friend.Their portions are small; especially for the meat. I didn’t like their udon because it wasn’t very flavourful. The salad dressing is also too sour so didn’t enjoy that. Agedashi tofu was good but expensive for the portion. Overall, the only thing I really liked about this place was their brown rice which was surprisingly good because I normally don’t like brown rice.

Beautiful Japanese eating with organic ingredients. the highlight is the sushi made with brown rice, but still delicious! articles had vegetarian rolls: really good and delicious lotus root: different than expected, but still delicious vegetarian noodles: good, but a tad sweet. I would skip this and simply order more of the yummy sushi flower tempura: big appetizer and recommended in any case. the service was also really good and our waitress has checked us again and again to make sure we were happy. in any case recommend this place to meet Japanese foods demand for vegetarians.
For nice Japanese food near Vancouver Gallery of Art, cannot be beat. TIP: small place; be seated by 8 pm/closes 9pm.
