Meat Bread - Vancouver

I absolutely love Porchetta! It's definitely my favorite sandwich. The pork is so flavorful and they generously stuff it with meat. I especially enjoy the crispy skin they add for extra texture. The bread is of nice quality, though I would prefer it to be a bit less dense. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Overall, it's a fantastic spot for a delicious lunch.

Meat Bread is one of my favorite restaurants to visit whenever I get the chance. I used to frequent the Cambie and Hastings location and even waited in line for their famous Turducken sandwich during the Christmas holidays. Recently, I was pleasantly surprised to see a Meat Bread on Broadway! I made a mental note to visit and finally had the opportunity to do so. I ordered my go-to Porchetta sandwich and, since it was close to closing time, they served me the last few slices. The staff member was generous with the amount of meat and when I requested extra mustard, she happily obliged. Although the Porchetta was slightly dry, I suspect it was because I received an end piece. The crispy pork rind is what makes the sandwich stand out for me and the extra mustard was essential to balance the richness. The bread is different from others, not as fluffy, but I still enjoy it with the Porchetta filling. I will continue to dine at Meat Bread for this delicious sandwich!

The restaurant has a nice appearance and the presentation of the food is good, but the taste is mediocre at best. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich with apple slaw and found the meat to be tough and dry. The flavors were lacking, with only a slight tanginess and an overall bland taste. In my opinion, a Big Mac from McDonald's tastes much better and at $13 for a sandwich here, it's not worth the price. There are better tasting options available at other restaurants.

Fleisch brot was one of my must-have restaurants when I had the opportunity to come back. I use to go to the cambie and Hastings location and even dressed for the famous Turducken sandwich during Christmas holidays. I thought I was walking and was shocked to see a meat brot on broadway! I made a mental note and finally had the opportunity to enter. I ordered my favorite porchetta sandwich. it was close to closing so they cut what was left. the team member was very generous with the meat stack and when I asked for extra senf, she put him on. the porchetta was a bit dry, but I suspect it was due to the end piece I received. the blackening was crisp and why I love that sandwich so much. the extra senf was an absolute requirement to cut through the greasiness. the brot is a little different and not so luscious. still I love the porchetta and will always eat at meat brot for this sandwich!

Usually get the porchetta that is always excellent. Today I tried the feature cajun chicken that was very tasty. beautiful aroma and heat balance. I don't think there was any way to stuff more meat in that sandwich. yes, their sandwiches cost more than some other places, but they are totally worth it.
