This tiny restaurant located in resident area in Champlain Heights neighbourhood, very small one with about 18 to 20 ppl max. It is a Japanese Italian style restaurant run by the Japanese couple. Due to limit staff, better go earlier than late. Their cut off time is 6:50pm since they close at 8pm. The food was amazing out of my expectation with the price I was paying for. This is absolutely one of the worst restaurants I have ever been too. My girlfriend wanted some pasta and on a neighbors recommendation we ordered some take out. Ordered 2 pastas and a garlic bread. We got it home and it was completely bland and had no flavor. Further the value for the price was not there. She had the prawn liguini special $18 and had 2 prawns? Come on! I went back to the restaurant and explained how... View all feedback.
Inside is Freezing - I kept my winter jacket on the entire time. The printed menu provided did not list any specials, only the board listed the special lobster linguine. It is cash only! Luckily there is a convenience store with an ATM next door. It is very bare bones, simple, casual and has Japanese decor. Only one other table at 11 on a rainy Tuesday. Small Heat lamp that didn't help much, and a local radio station playing. I ordered the lobster linguine, of course! It was steaming hot, with a generous amount of pasta, an entire half lobster which was tender, well flavored, and to me seems like a good price for a half lobster. It was topped with some cheese and a nice sauce. Crunchy vegetables such as carrots, yellow bell peppers and either zucchini or cucumber, plus onions in the rose sauce - it was okay but i typically hate vegetables in pasta. At the other table were seated a Japanese couple who talked to the proprietor in Japanese almost the entire time - I didn't mind but their noisy chatter doesn't add anything to the already lacking ambiance. I would come back here if I was in the area, but it's kind of in the middle of nowhere...

We ordered the linguine with prawns in a garlic white wine sauce $17 and Spaghetti Carbonara for $10 and a Chicken Pesto Pizza $9. It can beat the pasta charged with a higher rate than other places.
read moreThe absolute best Italian food. Seafood Linguine is the best, bar none. Staff have always been nice to us.
We went for dinner last Friday as a party of 5 people. Each item we ordered was above expectation. Even the simple thing like focaccia bread is freshly baked. The mussels is hand picked with fat juicy meat in a tomato broth, so please save your bread to dip in the sauce. Caesar salad is fresh & crisp, and the Hawaiian pizza is made out of fresh dough with cheese melting in your month. The lobster linguine is complemented with fresh herbs & al dente pasta quality.Make sure you save room for dessert which is priced at $5-6 only. You need two people to finish it.Go early before 6pm or after 7:30pm as there are only 18 seats, and the team of husband & wife. Give them time, as they can do magic to your palette.

Understandably after spending $40 I told them this was unacceptable and I wanted a resolution. Instead they told me to get off their property and phoned the police. Nice way to treat a customer. Definitely will not recommend or return again.
