We came to Harambe for our date dinner. My hubby and I love Traditional Ethiopian food and have been to many Ethiopian restaurants as well as had home made Ethiopian food. We ordered veggies and doro watt. When it was served to us it tasted terrible. Doro watt was very watery and onion (which supposedly being cooked for a long time) was not done as supposed to. They have a great ol’ vegan platter that has all good things, divided with two palaes and had a great evening
Im ethiopian and simply moved to bc, so I tried many different caffes and restaurants. harambe by far is one of the best ive was, it really reminds me of the food I ate during the growing up. they have a veggie platter that they are trying to a buck of sauces. it is also completely vegan, as many Ethiopian food is veggie friendly. if they go at the end there not forget to taste the coffee! his called bunna (bu-nah,) and funny thing: coffee actually comes from ethiopia. a great part of our culture!
In the course of the years I have to book each time in a bed for a large group of people for work or for birthday dinner or something. imagine that about 12 people share the bill, share huge dishes and order all their own drinks. these youngs rise each time. they are great. if you put them through that, please tap big.
My favorite Ethiopia restaurant in vancouver, the veggie combo is cheap and they will always have rest! Definitiw add the shiro as extra, because it is not on the combo and it is the best! I always ask you to have the spicy powder! small family owners business also mimi the owners woman could try to teach them a few cakes if they have happiness
