Amazing environment tasty everyone should try! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
I’ve been going to DD MAU for years and they’ve always had friendly staff, a great menu with a variety of dishes and good vibes overall. But I was there with a friend more recently to try their new seasonal items and they all became instant favorites especially the tamarind short rib. Our server, Leo, was also so attentive and just a joy to chat with throughout the night. Definitely recommend checking them out if you’re looking to try some delicious dishes in a cozy, welcoming space this season! We loved the creative, flavor-packed dishes, the warm and welcoming atmosphere, and the kind, attentive servers at DD Mau Chinatown! We ordered the Damn Good Chicken and the Grilled Meatball Vermicelli—both were bursting with flavor and generously portioned, with plenty left for later. The staff took time to explain the menu and made us feel right at home. Can’t wait to come back! Finally got to check out DD Mau and it did not dissapoint! ???? We went on a Saturday and the music was very R B I imagine people pregame here prior to going to fortune because they have lots of fun drinks and good food. ???? What weordered: ????Chicken Spring Roll Vermicelli Bowl ???? Vegan Curry ????Mango Soju Slushy ???? Star Anise Old Fashion I camehere for their vegan options and the curry was pretty good but could’ve benefited from more sauce. I was surprised by howfresh the baguette was and woukd recommend that over rice. Although I didn’t try the chicken vermicelli bowl, my partner saidit was really good and no complaints. The food was well priced for what you got and it’s vegan friendly as previouslymentioned! ???? However, the drinks are a big selling point. The mango soju slushy was dangerously good, while the old fashionwas very smooth. I’m a whisky lover, so I preferred the old fashion. Overall, prices and vibe here was great. It wasn’t acalm vibe, but it felt fun and casual. I can see why it was busy throughout the time we were there and I’d definitely comeback!
Came back to this place after the renovation (they had to deal with a burst pipe damage so they were closed for a while). Open and spacious, decor simple with a charm. A popular spot homely for Vietnamese cuisine. We had the Tamarind Soup Combo for 2 andDD Mau Chicken wings. For drinks, DD Mau Vietnamese Coffee (hot option) and Home-made Lychee Soda. Food flavourful and tasty. The Tamarind Soup Combo was a recommendation by the server and it was delicious. The hot and sour soup was well balanced andtasty and had a good helping of prawns and fish. The pork belly burst with flavour and tender. The chicken wings were perfectlycrispy and yummy. Loved the Lychee Soda and thoroughly enjoyed the Vietnamese Coffee. We will definitely be back again and wouldhighly recommend that if you in the area to give them a try. You won't be disappointed.
