We have only been here for brunch (twice now! but will need to come back for dinner. The good: the breakfast carbonara is worth it and I'd keep coming back for that! The bombolini were so good, was great to share with the table and I tried a bite of my fiancés capocollo benny and that was delicious, I also think I could eat a bowl of the rosemary potatoes with hollandaise sauce every day and never get sick of it! The coffee was very good according to my fiancé, I got a latte but am pretty easy to please with my drinks. The disappointing: the brunch board sounded like a good idea but the 2 types of toast lacked seasoning (didn't taste like there was even any salt on either of them and I asked for soft poached eggs but they were well done. Would not recommend when there are other amazing options that we had tried.
The patio is just right for summer time. The cocktails were great and food is tasty. However, if you want to book a table online. It automatically charge you $10 per person to donate to a charity. When I booked the table, I didn?t read the message clearly. I thought it was a reserve fee like a lot of restaurants do these days. If you no show then they will charge you. But for this restaurant, if you don?t pay the fee, you cannot book the table. So be aware of it. We were there for a weekday?s evening, there is a lot of empty tables. So reservation is unnecessary. But I?m not sure about the line on the weekend.
I've been eating couple of time at Bufala. The pizzas were decent and sitting on the patio add a nice atmosphere to the meal. However they started to ask guests to pay $5/person for reservation that will be donated to charity. So if you want to make a reservation for 4 people you will need to pay $20 up front. Even though giving back to the community is important it's not the kind of service you want from a restaurant.

If I were blind folded I am not sure I could tell you what I ate. I ordered a pizza margherita and what I got instead was the driest cracker on earth with a pretzel’s crust. It could have been the most beautiful frisbee though. This pizza had no salt, the smallest amount of tomato sauce and close to no cheese, it was absolutely flavourless. At some point I even wondered if Ihad Covid and lost my sense of taste. Service was below average too. Not sure if this restaurant is associated with the Bufalain Kerrisdale, but they’re nothing alike.
