Despite its unassuming appearance, this cafe advertises amazing lattes - and they truly deliver! The coffee has a rich and delicious flavor, unlike the overly roasted beans of a certain well-known chain.
I came upon this place 3 weeks ago. I was looking to enjoy a breakfast after finishing an 4 am start that morning. I was pleasantly surprised by the calm atmosphere. The americano was superb, and BIG!. The extra heart shape chocolate dusting a beautiful touch. Over the past 3 weeks, I have started to show up here at least twice a week. It seems a place to really relax from the bustling commerce outside. I notice that Josie knows almost all the patrons by name. Thats amazing in itself. Made me feel like being in the old sitcom CHEERS bar. Where everyone knows your name. Every dish I have enjoyed with delight. Lots of love goes into every morsel. I also like the way she dry bakes the bacon so it is not greasy. Many of the baked goods have more interesting flours and flavours, or no wheat, to make them more healthy. Way better than the usual 'Costco clones '. Josie herself is wonderful to watch, moving about, attending to her patrons needs, and adding funny dialogue to brighten their day. In a short while, I have become a regular. And everyone is starting to know my name. Bellissimo
The restaurant has closed and is now Josephine's Breakfast Bistro, which offers fantastic breakfasts and coffee.
The staff is very welcoming and the lunch specials are fantastic.
I found this place completely by accident on the way to another destination.
