The Plainsman - Vancouver

I saw a post in our local town chat and we decided to check the place out. We don't dine out often since we're both good cooks ourselves, but we wanted to give it a try. They use fresh ingredients, which is great if you're not from the city. We ordered the gravy, bread, and cookies, and everything we had was delicious! Our server, Carrie, was fantastic and ensured the entire experience was enhanced by her outstanding customer service. We'll definitely be back!

Amazing! This charming spot in Vancouver offers a cozy atmosphere and a fantastic breakfast. The setting is casual and inviting, and it's clear they have a loyal customer base that frequents the place each week. The staff were friendly, and the service was excellent. I highly recommend it!

We have been looking for a diner to the breakfast in or near our quarter. we recently moved into a house a bit from the fourth level. the plainsman has excellent service and eating. the waiting staff is friendly, knowledgeable, efficient and respects its customers and revises with them when required. our server was such a pleasure (I wish I remember her name! She was great, I hope she sees this review.) she explained the specialties we missed on the way, and answered our questions. I had one of the specials avocado, tomaten, speck and cheese omelett with hashbrowns and toast from homemade brot. I also ordered a single big pancake because I wanted to try. that was the best pancake I had in a restaurant in a very long time! and the omelet, hashbrowns and toast were excellent. my companion had the eggs benedict with cut avocado and hashbrowns loved it. not only was the whole eating very fresh, it was freashly prepared there is no eating under heat lamps for hours sitting in the kitchen of the plainsman! and it looked as delicious as it tasted, eating was nicely placed on the dishes and served with carefree. the interior of the restaurant is clean and tidy. interesting americana decoration on the walls, but not too much to make the place plundered look; it was tied up all the way. Obviously is carefree and exhausting to keep this place clean and appetit on no dirt, cap, fat or spinnwebs hanging from the decoration or furniture, tables and everything on them clean. we loved eating the breakfast and service in the plainsman and will try again to lunch soon!

The French Toast is unbeatable! Perfect custard egg flavor. Bread slices are moist and super thick so thick you can fillet cut them and get a double order for the same size sold in other restaurants. It comes with a large scoop of real butter (a second scoop is free), and two slices of peaches.

Old fashioned and small but plenty of seating. Friendly attentive waitstaff. Traditional diner style food (Americana). I had the French toast and my partner had the mushroom and cheese 3 egg omelette. No surprises. Good food. Would definitely go back.
