It was not the weather for a patio dining experience but the team at Ancora did everything they could to make it wonderful. It’s tough for restaurants right now but Ancora did everything the could to make sure our night was special. View all feedback.
What Enola Buckridge doesn't like about Ancora Waterfront Dining And Patio:
This restaurant came highly recommended. Perhaps this was just a bad night, however we were not impressed. My first choice appetizer was not available nor second choice or third choice. To me this is totally unacceptable at a presumably good restaurant. My fourth choice was...available and was very nice. Main course duck was well overcooked and the skin so chewyit couldn't be eaten. That was the worst treatment by a restaurant manager I have ever experienced in restaurant dining. I asked to have my wine glass topped-up and the manager said that was very rude, and kicked me and 4 friends out. I have been a regular customer...once a week all summer. Asking for a little more wine made him loose control of his emotions. Clearly he has an anger management problem. I will never go back to Ancora Restaurant.

Certainly not what I expected at this restaurant. The only positive was the very large wine list. I can't recommend the food though.
Visited for a jubilee date at night and not very impressed. restaurant plays extremely loud music and combined with the intertwining of the guests who sit behind us, we could not appear on our table waiter seemed uninterested and our order for cocktails and starter. first. cocktail, they lacked pisco so had to choose again, took a passion fruit daquiri. less than 5 minutes later the starters arrived, but no cocktails, so we thought we would wait as they should not be much longer. almost another 10 minutes walk by and still no drinks, had to ask the waiter what the problem was and was said that they were soon outside so that we started eating so that eating would not go cold. cocktails finally arrived and we ordered another round of appetizers, which was also delivered quite quickly to the table everything in all eating was ok, but portions are miniskule in consideration what they pay. it is always disappointing to leave a nice dinner, but still hungry it is also cold in the restaurant and would highly recommend wearing a pullover also, as others mentioned, it is very obvious that some employees are not too happy to be busy, and unfortunately this mood really starts to wear on them as the night goes on
I'm sorry to say, but terrible. the personal could not properly manage a certain food allergy, gluten. the waitress suggested to me the lamb that comes with cousin don't know why.) I told him that I can't eat that it's weeping, but he claimed that cousin. cousin has no gluten. oh, well, after talking to another waitress, they changed it to quinoa, was sad too salty, so the Yuca fryinges were the fish and chips of my daughter) and that laughed a little raw. too much msg in the food. the moakis of my children were good, and also the desserts.
I have booked this place per recommendation of a friend for a milestone Bd dinner, and it started on a high note. the appetizers (vegetarian kewitsche for me and a vegetarian causas for my 1 were not cliche, visually funny, absolutely delicious. both main courses (the...scallops and the sable fish missed the mark: the aromen were from the balance and more a disparate series of notes on a plate instead of a harmonic melodie. I understand fusion, but hey, how about confusion a little versus throw random things together in the attempt to be original? the Dessert Picarone are what I was looking for especially after I learned that this is the “real deal” and must be experienced. later. a few things on the vibe itself. I could only get one table in the evening for a later time, so our dinner started at 8:30 a.m., and the place was far away from the crowd. that said every next court lasted longer than the previous one. remember, we only start the main course dessert, and not a multi-course extravaganza. so we were ready for the picarone (9:30 a.m.) and above all because we had waited until the food arrives, the place was literally empty, and the staff began to clean themselves for the night. if something, we felt hurried and totally not welcome there. when the waiters pick up around them chairs, the only thing they feel is that they have overtaken their greetings and have to get the escape out as soon as they can. I almost expected them to mix the floors downhill. somehow we have picarone to go (only 20 minutes or so. and they enjoyed in the hotel in general. but the mood was ruined. I would like to point out that this was not on our server, camille she did it best to smooth the rough edges of tonight. but for me, this customer experience was a great “thanks, but no thanks”. also the music choice was very, very questionable for a place that is positioned. so much I pop hits 2022 guess, I don't think this sets the right ton for a restaurant like this. In summary, this showed a lot of promises, but for me, this place is not worth the money or the time spent, and in any case not worth a repetition, unless they reconsider their approach to the experience they want to create for their guests. the taste combinations could also use something finessing.
