What Gavin Krogstad doesn't like about Shoe Inn:
Great food and service. Atmosphere is scary on how much trump worship is in there. Didn't know until we had sat down. It was worth a try but it's super not our vibe. The regular patrons didn't seem thrilled to see lgbtq+ people in there. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 2 Recommended dishes: Cheeseburger View all feedback.

So my friend and I decided to stop in after coming and visiting with her family's gravestones in Van-etten. It has been about 25 years since we've been out here to this town and decided to stop by the local bar to get some food or to see if they had any. To our surprise they have great food. I ordered myself steak medium rare and tater tots, my friend ordered two grilled cheese sandwiches and two orders of tater tots. The lady in the kitchen that is doing all the cooking she is a great cook. The bartender is very friendly and the people in general that is here is friendly and this is a kickback cool place. We do also enjoy the scenery in the back when we went out for a cigarette Saw some geese and Hill landscape and beautiful clouds we also noticed all the decorations inside and outside of this place and it's just wonderful and feels comfortable being here. Parking: There is a lot of parking You could even pull-in a tractor trailer in here. Wheelchair accessibility: Considering the main bar and restaurant is on one floor I looked at the front doors and there are double doors and you could wheel your wheelchair right in. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $10–20
I eat breakfast here M-F. All the food is made when ordered, no pre- packaged food served here. Lunch items include one special each day along with other fare from the menu. Dinners are normally served Friday and Saturday nights only. They include fish, pizza, and prime rib. Steaks are available along with burgers and wings. Smoked ribs are served some nights.
They let us park our truck in the parking lot while we went motorcycle riding in the area.
One other reviewer stated something about to much Trump and politics being shoved down their throat. I saw one bumper sticker on a board. I was really hoping for more. But lets get to the review. Place was pretty empty. Good smells coming from kitchen. Brenda and I decided to eat outdoors. Good move. Once the employee finished mowing it was nice. Brenda ordered a chicken wrap and tater tots. To my surprise she loved it. I tried a tot and it was crispy and good. Not greasy. I ordered a burger that came with bacon onion ring and a side of onion rings. I would have no complaints if it weren't for the bacon. Onion ring golden brown and not greasy. Burger cooked to order. The bacon was cooked the way I like it crispy. No fat. Accept it was in a big ball in the middle of the burger. The size of a golf ball. Brenda laughed as I broke it into piece's and ate a little bit with every bite of the burger. It killed my 5 star on the food. All in all I will be going back. Trying some steak maybe. Oh forgot. They ran out of French Fries. HUH?
