We had a great few days at this farm stay (agrotourismo) in Valtournenche. A real highlight were the home-made cured meats and cheeses. There is not much choice when it comes to breakfast and dinner, but all meals were freshly prepared and very tasty. The house wine was included in the price. Dinner and breakfast takes place at a communal table. The kitchen also caters for vegetarians. The rooms and communal areas (breakfast/dinner room) are simple but clean. Highlights also included the morning ski-doo tow to the piste, a night-time tour in the piste basher and the post-dinner coffee all Valdostana in the Aostean friendship cup (coppa dell'amicizia). The Gaspard family are the most welcoming hosts and do their best to ensure you enjoy your stay.
Stayed there for a sunny lunch on the patio, service minded staff and good service grappa was as well good.
Lovely location, comfortable rooms, breakfasts and goose and plentiful dinners. thanks to michela for his kindness and availability during our three days of internship.
Beautiful farmhouse that combines a perfect location for excursions to silence, tranquility, a warm welcome and a local cuisine to lick
The agriturismo is well situated, just outside valtournenche. Off the main road in a nice little valley. The rooms are cosy and clean. The kitchen however is not good at all. During one week we have not eaten fruit. salad or vegetables. Breakfast was basic, but the old dry bread was very disappointing. Only cheese, honey and marmalade. Dinner was very basic and not appetizing. Every day sausages and cheese as anti pasti. Primi was often a very basic but not very tasti pasta. Secondi served without fresh vegetables. No salad to be found during dinner. The first time that we bought our own fruit to get in enough vitamins. Other guests brought lettuce to complete their evening meal. Not worthy the €70 (adult) and €55 (child) per night.
