Fantastic view, very nice personel and good food! We got our food straight away and the pasta carbonara was perfect. The have nice grilled meat and charkdishes as well as good wine. I really recommend this pearl in the beautiful slope of Valtournenche. View all feedback.
What avscitygirl doesn't like about La Motta:
The place was refurbished a few years ago and has seen some reasonable improvements. Like a couple more toilets, before they only had 2 for the entire restaurant and bar! Lunch time service is always chaotic in the bar area, (I can’t comment on the restaurant upstairs), though some of the food can be a bit pricer than some of the other places on the slopes. There is a self service and a restaurant with table service on the first floor. We enjoyed this break on the tracks. The food is very good and the staff is really nice.
A very pleasant spot cappuccinos at €2 a pop isn’t too bad for such a good quality ski resort. The lunchtime food looked tasty and when the sun is shining, there’s no better spot to just chill out and enjoy the tranquility of the quieter Valtournenche side of the ski area, looking up at La Motta peak.
A mountain restaurant with nice atmosphere (upstairs) with friendly service and the food was good honest mountain food.
This is same owner as Grivola in the main street of Cervinia, and the menu is very similar, but simpler. OK value for money and nice decor with interesting local art (just as Grivola . We had a very nice lunch upstairs in the restaurant. Not quite the level of attention from staff as one could hope for maybe because we only had a quick one course lunch and no wine... after all the skiing was the highest priority for us. Note unlike Grivola this is not a pizza place, but it has a good selection of very good Italian food we had the lasagna (large! , gnocci with truffle sauce (delicious, but not so large , and venison stew w. polenta, very good!
