El Salto - Valparaiso

What a delightful surprise! The American-Mexican food here is quite good, with prompt service to match. The salsa was decent, and the house-made chips were warmed up nicely, adding to the experience.

My wife and I were visiting family in the area, and a group of six of us chose to stop by El Salto for dinner. I hadn't dined at this restaurant before...

I was really looking forward to trying out a new Mexican restaurant since I've been eating a lot of pizza lately. Sometimes, I just crave a big margarita!

We were greeted right away and seated promptly. The chips and salsa arrived quickly, and the chips were warm! The salsa was excellent, and we ordered more of it. My wife had the three cheese enchiladas, while I opted for the three beef ones. Our diet Pepsis also came out quickly, served in a lovely large plastic cup that doesn’t need refills! Plus, the salsa comes with a refill carafe—what a nice touch! The food was served quickly on warm plates, and the portions were generous. Everything tasted fantastic! We’ve decided to make this our go-to Mexican restaurant; there’s no better one in Valparaiso!

The food was excellent and the service was great. I ordered the El Salto Burrito and Guacamole, and both were amazing. There were five of us, and everyone enjoyed their meals. Highly recommend!
