Albano's Pasta Shop - Valparaiso

I visited this restaurant for my birthday and it was absolutely fantastic! The appetizers and bread at the start were delicious. The tortellini, regardless of which variety I tried, were out of this world. The staff was friendly and attentive, though I did notice that sometimes there were two different songs playing at the same time, which was a bit distracting. Additionally, the strong smell of onions or garlic was overwhelming at times, making my eyes water, but the incredible food made it all worth it.

We visited Valparaiso for the weekend and were searching for a nice place to celebrate our anniversary on a Friday night. We decided to sit outside and ordered a few bottles of wine, along with the bread appetizer and some pasta for our main course. This restaurant exceeded all our expectations and is now the main reason we plan to return to Valpo. The pasta tasted as if everything was homegrown and freshly made just for our order. Each wine we sampled perfectly complemented our meal, and the wine server was exceptionally knowledgeable and courteous. Overall, Albano's transformed what would have been a casual anniversary into an unforgettable experience. A heartfelt thank you to the chef and the entire staff!

One word...AMAZING!! Everything I ordered was almost perfect. My waitress was incredibly helpful with her suggestions. The portion sizes were just right. If I had more self-control, I could have taken some leftovers home. And then... the blueberry lemon cheesecake. I can’t wait to return to Valpo just to eat here again. Food: 4/5

The best pasta I've ever tasted! I've been a loyal customer for years and will keep coming back. I'm thrilled that they've teamed up with the winery— the wines we sampled were excellent and paired perfectly with our meals! The corn tortellini is incredible! Don’t miss the appetizer bread with the 12-hour red sauce; it's fantastic! Our server, Kenzie, was very friendly and attentive.

During our recent trip to Valpo, we unexpectedly changed our dinner plans, and we couldn't have been happier with our decision! This place serves the best Italian food we've had outside of Italy. Everything is homemade, especially the pasta, which truly makes a difference. The fresh bread served with a flavorful onion-infused oil was outstanding. The Short Rib Tortellini was exceptional, and Grammy's Lasagna was fantastic—nothing beats the crispy, caramelized cheese on the edges! The sauces and cheeses were absolutely delicious! We also tried the meatballs, which were juicy, peppery, and topped with a rich sauce and creamy ricotta. The service was excellent; Leah took wonderful care of us and went above and beyond. We will definitely return the next time we're in the area!
