I love the oak barrel! my friend and I drive over an hour to get food from here, and it is definitiw the car worth! i highly recommend the open face pulled pork bbq. it's one of the best dishes I've ever eaten! you amish huh and waffel is also amazing! also the personal is always friendly and accommodating! that is surely a five star restaurant! the kicherbsen slides received two small slides. slider were dry and with little taste. taco was essentially the same as the slider only Kichererbsen-Taco, so not exactly a robust choice. the limited vegan tacos offer a lot of brot and pommes, but not the main product itself. we eat a second time immediately after eating here, as we had still starving, View all feedback.
I always stop here. the restaurant shares the same parking space with the theatre. it has a very nice curbside appeal. here you will find a great selection of craftsmen beating, whiskeys, wein and cocktails in the stylish pub area. the place is huge and broken into sections, so if they want to make it a date/family night, they also have. eating is what they expect in a gastro pub, offer high quality meals. they always try to use local products and meat so they get a feeling of farm to table. I would not bring children under 13 here, as they will pay for a stylish meal a big boy over chicken fingers and Mac cheese. they have mc and a young burger on the menu, but it is an adult setting. the staff is nice and helpful.
It was a great night in oak barrel with ingenious eating. there were short ribs, wings, spiced and baked cauliflower, brie cheese, salads, popcorn, beer and weine and everyone loved every dish. the atmosphere was perfect for our large quantity and we laughed all night while our server us first class friendly service with a big smile. it was a great night with great business and great food!
From out of town and decide to have dinner there. Great food and service was outstanding!! Would go back anytime. My wife got shrimp tacos and I got the fish sandwich.
The Manager was quite helpful in coordinating a party of 9...with a heads up call to them an hour early on a Saturday. Drinks came quickly from the bar. Food (appetizers and entrees) very good but a bit slow to arrive. Overall...very good food and atmosphere. Definitely would return.
The service was great I can’t remember her name but we had a lovely waitress who is extremely friendly and helpful! The menu, however, is a bit eccentric and pricey. I think that all of the menu items are unique which is good, but there are not a lot of staple foods or basic items. I really enjoy the appetizers but I had a hard time finding an entree. I followed a family member’s recommendation and got the ribs, which were so overly tender they fell off the bone to the point where I could barely eat them. again, the service was great, but I don’t know that I enjoyed the food for the price.
