Shoutout to our amazing server, Frankie! He was friendly, funny, attentive, and well-informed about the menu, which made our experience even more enjoyable. Thank you, Frankie! The food was delicious, but I have one suggestion for the owner and chef: the calamari sauce would be better served on the side as a dipping sauce, as the calamari got soggy quite quickly. What Tracy K dislikes about The:
I was really looking forward to dining at this restaurant, but unfortunately, my experience fell short of my expectations. After a long wait of 30 minutes, we had only received our drinks. This restaurant has the ridiculous practice of charging customers a kitchen fee. Are we really expected to eat our food raw?! On the positive side, the service was excellent and the food was fantastic. Our group of five ordered a steak, grilled romaine, seafood risotto, and chicken piccata, and each dish was delicious. The lower rating is solely because of the outrageous, undisclosed kitchen fee. Seriously, Left Bank, this feels like a way to rip off your customers!
Oh, and we also had dessert, but it disappeared too quickly for a picture—apple crisp with vanilla ice cream! Delicious!!!

We ordered the butternut squash soup, which took an additional 20 minutes to arrive. Although the soup was good, after an hour of waiting, we decided to skip dinner altogether and just settle the bill. It wasn't the experience I had hoped for. Additionally, the brightly lit ambiance on one side of the restaurant wasn't the romantic setting I had envisioned.

We had a wonderful experience and I'm really glad we had the chance to eat here before the restaurant's announced closure. The service was understandably a bit slow since the restaurant was fully booked for its final weekend. Although some items on the menu seemed a little overpriced, the atmosphere felt more cozy and casual than fine dining. However, we enjoyed everything we ordered and would have been happy to return for another evening. My favorite dishes were the Warm Brussels Sprout Salad and the Chocolate Crème Brûlée. I hope that new ownership can someday bring this charming dining spot back to life.
