On the positive side, the service... read more This restaurant has the ridiculous practice of charging customers a kitchen fee. Are we really expected to eat our food raw?! On the positive side, the service was excellent and the food was fantastic. Our group of five ordered a steak, grilled romaine, seafood risotto, and chicken piccata, and each dish was delicious. The lower rating is solely because of the outrageous, undisclosed kitchen fee. Seriously, Left Bank, this feels like a way to rip off your customers!

After a long wait of 30 minutes, we had only received our drinks. We ordered the butternut squash soup, which took an additional 20 minutes to arrive. Although the soup was good, after an hour of waiting, we decided to skip dinner altogether and just settle the bill. It wasn't the experience I had hoped for. Additionally, the brightly lit ambiance on one side of the restaurant wasn't the romantic setting I had envisioned.

The food was delicious, but I have one suggestion for the owner and chef: the calamari sauce would be better served on the side as a dipping sauce, as the calamari got soggy quite quickly.

The service was understandably a bit slow since the restaurant was fully booked for its final weekend. Although some items on the menu seemed a little overpriced, the atmosphere felt more cozy and casual than fine dining. However, we enjoyed everything we ordered and would have been happy to return for another evening. My favorite dishes were the Warm Brussels Sprout Salad and the Chocolate Crème Brûlée. I hope that new ownership can someday bring this charming dining spot back to life.
