We were visiting Vallerano just for the day and stumbled upon the Cantina having been enticed by the smell from the street and we were so glad we did.. the whole experience was amazing.. the setting in the cosy cantina, the musician who surprised us halfway through, the atmosphere and the lovely staff.. We were full after the first course but we had to keep going because the food was so delicious.. and the chestnuts straight from the woodburner at the end topped it all off.. It was honestly the best restaurant experience I've ever had, the only thing I would change is the fact it's not open all year round because now I have to count down until next October.. Grazie per l'esperienza! :
Pleasant day in Vallerano, with stop at La Stoppa Winery: great lunch and excellent service despite the place was full. First typical and tasty dishes!
On the occasion of the chestnut festival, we had lunch in this wine cellar. Here is our review. Piatto vincenti: rabbit to the Valais and potatoes Service: great, fast and kind (recommended even if you have children. We have provided the high chair immediately and recommended in the choice of dishes for children) Prices: absolutely moderate considering the quality.
Yesterday, with my partner, we decide to go to Vallerano on the occasion of the chestnut festival. As time was not a great deal we immediately decided to have lunch and in choosing one of the local wineries, it attracted us The winery La Stoppa for not proposing a fixed menu and giving more freedom of choice in the dishes. The staff is very kind and careful, it looked out from time to time everything went well. Self-service ordination, nice as a choice not to command the waiters, but to propose a white sheet to mark the dishes to choose. The dishes were really delicious and tasty, to taste absolutely the ricotta and spinach panzerotti with hazelnut granella and chestnuts flavored with sage. Excellent wine. In the covered were already included appetizer, wine, water, sweets, croissants and grappa/limoncello. We spent 30 euros in two and congratulated this association for giving us a serene, genuine lunch and old memories. Ah, then there was no ball music, which facilitated the colloquial intimacy among people. Thank you.

The food is unique, and by one I mean that the flavors and recipes are typical of the vine, often the first are aromatized with local herbs, as well as the glare and rabbit, as well as being present in some crispy hazelnut dishes among the ingredients. An experience, also seen the environment of the cellar (a huge cellar) with typical scents and sagra prices.
