Contribute FeedbackTucked away in a bustling area, this casual eatery boasts a clean environment and efficient service. Patrons appreciate the generous portions and competitive prices, especially for dishes like the Loco Moco, BBQ chicken, and mixed meats. Many rave about the comforting flavors, though a few experienced disappointing meals with undercooked items and lack of seasoning. While some find culinary gems like malasadas and flavorful katsu, others suggest steering clear due to inconsistent quality. Despite mixed reviews on taste, the inviting atmosphere and solid value make it a popular choice for substantial meals on a budget.
The fish is fried in a batter similar to fish and chips, rather than the typical panko breading. The shrimp breading was almost burnt, and both dishes tasted of old fryer oil. The portions were lacking, with 80% of the platter consisting of sides, mainly rice and cabbage. However, the Mac salad was delicious and the rice was cooked perfectly.
The BBQ beef and chicken were excellent. The shrimp was enjoyable, but I wasn't as impressed with the fish.
The garlic prawns are delicious and the BBQ beef for surf and turf Hawaiian style is also great! It's even better with kimchi on top.
The service was fantastic at this restaurant, but unfortunately the food was lacking in flavor. I gave it two chances, but was disappointed on both occasions. I do not plan on dining here again.
The food was delicious! We ordered the Loco Moco with scrambled eggs and it tasted just like the ones in Hawaii. The cooks had our food ready in minutes, although the front counter was a bit slow. Our food was left sitting out, waiting to be bagged up. The restaurant was very clean inside and had a welcoming atmosphere.
