The restaurant is located near the plaza alfonso lopez and the cathedrale. eating is delicious and very good price. the service is very good and the people are very friendly.
Visit for a family dinner when you get to know Valledupar. Food and atmosphere were great; Chivo (a local dish) was just great. I ate some souvenirs.
We visited a weekday in the evening, the restaurant was empty, but well ventilated, so it was nice. Eating we had shredded beef, coconut rice and plantain, which was amazing. On the way to the Vallenato Museum, which has really quite interesting things! When you visit valledupar, it is a must to visit this place!
Ideal to hide from the sun, as it is surrended by huge trees... It offers typical menu and music of the region, good enough.
Our meals today could have been so much much nicer, the potential was there, but everything seemed to disappoint. The punta gorda, which I ordered medium, was over cooked and really salty. The churrasco, which was ordered well done, had a colour, flavour and texture...that comes from boiling meat. The mojarra, on the other hand, was a lightly cooked piece of fish, done just right. The accompanying french fries were home cut and looked appealing but were sadly over salted, the rice was great, and the salads were the anonymous piles of iceberg, onion and tomato so typical here. The service was pretty poor too. Properly cooked and seasoned, our meal would have been great and good value but sadly, it wasn't to be.
