Had lunch here today (May 8, 2013). Pretty location, outside, right on the Marina in Golfe. We both had the Mussels in a garlic and white wine sauce that came with a big bowl of wide cut frites (12.50 euros per person), came with crusty bread. Half litre of a good house red was 7.50 euros. Ice cream desserts looked great but we were full. Service was very good even though the wait staff had to keep crossing the stree... View all feedback.
What Henriette Hardy doesn't like about La Sirene:
Yesterday we were in this restaurant for dinner. we ordered 4 dishes, waited 1 hour and 15 minutes, then asked after the check after 10 minutes, instead of the check they brought us 2 dishes and the cook said when they want to eat.You must wait! we paid for the food we didn't eat and leave. this “restaurant” does not check the qr code for kovid and it is allowed to smoke directly at the tables. any one who has no PCR... Most unbeatable meals we have on last Sunday lunch .Unfortunately our favourite restaurant dagigi were closed finde this restaurant busy and orther blancat de vue and molle frites just rubbish mixed rice and bit of meat no test no flavor like pour out of blanket called such shame
This is a really bad place. Food is bland. The Saint Pierre au Provençal was slimy fish on a pizza sauce. No service worth talking about. Even though I live nearby I get the feeling they survive on tourist 'bait' Avoid , it's rubbish
Have not been to La Sirene for a couple of years went for a family meal first night of our holiday and the food service and value for money was spot on. Anyone who is a regular will know the charismatic waiter who adds to the experience. Food is simple well cooked and good value....importantly really tasty. Well done team we will be back again this holiday.
Arrived for a late lunch of moules frites on our first day in France, ordered water to drink as we were driving, we got a bottle of Evian but when the bill came we were charged E6.5 which I thought a rip-off so we left no tip. I now feel guilty about this as the moules were very good, lots of lovely broth, and I now know that for some reason restaurants do charge E+++ for Evian. Service was fine, toilet basic.
The best fish ever. Lovely owners. Good value . Would definitely come back here again. We had tuna and linguini, would recommend both
