Rifugio Bezzi - VALGRISENCHE

I went to this high altitude refuge after wanting to go there for many years. From a landscape point of view, very beautiful but not unmissable, the last two hours to get there are a rather steep uphill wall, training is needed. The volunteers are very kind, especially the girls, friendly and smiling. Not before 12.30pm. you can have lunch, they also have a POS and the tap water is drinkable but it is forbidden to fill water bottles.

From Valgrisence we walked to this beautiful hut via routes 17 and 16. Beautiful route with a steep final stretch (200 m altitude). The volunteers who work there are very nice. Dinner (3 courses) was excellent with a choice of 2 dishes. Breakfast is just toast with jam or chocolate paste and tea, coffee and hot milk. Luckily we had oatmeal with us so we could get started afterwards. We took the longer descent 18 down even though they said it was difficult because of the many snow fields (it had snowed in May). The route was too difficult for an inexperienced mountain hiker, but we were able to do it well. Snow fields were icy here and there, but the route down was nicer than the steep route 16. There was a large group of young people in the hut, which made it busy and noisy during dinner and you missed the real mountain hut atmosphere.

Abbiamo mangiato all'aperto con una vista indimenticabile. La polenta era buona, (non istantanea) aspetto non sempre ricorrente nei rifugi della VDA, accompagnamenti gustosi, prezzo giusto. Cosa volete di più?

Straordinario. Ci sono stato due volte. In estate: rifugio gestito molto cordialmente, ottima ospitalità. The di benvenuto, buona cena, camere ampie e pulite, poco affollato. Prezzi bassi rispetto alla difficoltà di accesso, il ricavato va in beneficienza all'associazione Mato Grosso (i cui volontari gestiscono il rifugio). In inverno: locale invernale molto pulito e ordinato, circa posti, tante coperte. Aperto ma destinato all'uso di necessità (vista l'emergenza covid). Ottimo panorama su Gran Combin, Cervino, Rosa e montagne della Valgrisenche. Sulla terrazza anteriore prende il cellulare. Acqua dei rubinetti non potabile. In corso i lavori per l'ampliamento
