I can recommend this place if you would like to taste lots of good local food and traditional dishes. The service is good, the food is good, a cozy and tasty eating experience and a cheap price. Great value for the money. Remember to book in advance, the place is very popular among the locals as well as visitors of the area.
Good local food, reasonably priced. Authentic local vibe, no fuss , no extras. Not easy to find, thoough.
Admittedly I attended with family that spoke Italian so I can’t speak to their ability to speak English. We stay near this restaurant and go when we’re here because my husband absolutely loves the tripe (tripa). Small place that also has outdoor seating in the little tunnel where the entrance is. We have never had a bad meal here.
When visiting Valentano don’t forget eat here ... authentic italian kitchen ... with great service .. I will be back
We were hungry traveling from Rome and happened to stop in Valentano We walked around and completely by chance happened on this hidden gem at the top of the town Hidden is no exaggeration as is down a small side street and had it not been for some diners eating at outside tables we would have missed it altogether We were the only non Italians there and the atmosphere and ambience was delightful The waiters were very friendly and helped us with the menu and our choices The food was simply wonderful ‘ home cooked’ pasta and sauces and beautiful bread A treat for the tastebuds When the bill arrived we had to question the waiters as we were surprised it was so reasonable We will not forget our lunch for all the right reasons
