beautiful restaurant in this trendy location of valencia, right at the sea. there were six of us and we tried a few tapas. that had been made of patatas bravas and thai meatballs that we ordered, so we had to replace them for ceviche and pakoras, which proved to be the less interesting. the rest of our order was however excellent: mini burger, jack obst tacos al pastor, beetroot wetar, gyozas, curry and not forget th... What User doesn't like about Mestiza:
cute place, eclectic decor, quiet and friendly ambiente. I love it's all vegan, but we were disappointed with our food. the pakoras were muddy and a little bitter, their sauce was very dirty. the moussaka was also bland, too smooth, and ridiculously hot temperaturewise. the pad thai looked promising, but was so anointed that it was almost inviolable, and I was also not thrilled to find sellerie in it. my friend has t... By far the most delicious vegan food I've had in Valencia. A lot of different tapas but some mains on the menu.
We ordered a variety of dishes to share and were therefore able to try a lot, even if some of the menu was not available. Everything tasted good and was very well balanced in terms of flavour.
We went there for lunch. Although we didn't have a reservation we could found a seat. They have many different starters, a few main dishes and deserts. Everything is vegan. Both of us had the moussaka (12 euros) which was amazing.
Great restaurant with original dishes. Good option to eat vegan in Valencia.
If you're looking for a fully vegan restaurant near the beach with a proper menu (i.e. not junk food), this is an address to bookmark. They were super friendly and welcoming when they finally opened the door (we were hungry early and it only opens at 19:30 on weekdays). That made it worth the wait! The atmosphere is very pleasant and the area has unique vibes. The patatas bravas and jackfruit tacos were excellent. I didn't like the pad thai as much, but that's only because I could feel celery a bit too strongly for my liking. Next time I'll just ask them to remove it and I'm sure they'll accommodate.
