It's my favorite poke spot in all SCV. They have many sauces and topping options. The protein choices are always fresh, and taste is the best compared to other poke places I've had. The portions are quite generous and fairly priced! The food tastes fresh, and the staff are extremely friendly.
This is hands down my favorite poke place ever! The fish is incredibly fresh, and they offer the best selection of toppings. Although I've moved away from my hometown, SCV, this is the first place I visit whenever I come back. You can't beat their poke! If you live in SCV or are just passing through, you definitely need to stop by! Consider yourself lucky if you get the chance to try it!
This restaurant used to be excellent, but things changed during the pandemic. Now that it's over and all restaurants are open, this place continues to operate with strict rules, which seems to be more convenient for them than for customers like me. They've even turned part of the restaurant into a storage area, which looks quite unprofessional with clutter on the chairs and tables. I really don’t understand that. While the quality of the food is decent, it's not as fresh or as good as it used to be. They do offer complimentary miso soup with any order, but you have to ask for it—they don’t mention it at all. Really?
Your experience will be very at the time you go and your server. Sometimes the rice is not very fresh and the same applies to the fish. However, there are other times where they will be extremely fresh and tasty. Overall, it's good. They usually do not jump on the protein, so for the price it is definitely worth with how much more expensive other places will be.
The food to value here is the best I have ever seen. Both in taste and volume nothing can compare and I have eaten poke in several countries and states throughout the US. I am glad my hometown has one my favorite Poke place. The only complaint is lately the resteraunt smells a bit fishy. I hope the owner will take note and look into it.
