We were looking for somewhere to have a light supper as we'd enjoyed a Sunday lunch earlier in the day. L'Etage fitted the bill, and we ate two courses again, without ending up feeling stuffed, as it was all very good but not heavy. Fabulous location in Place des Clercs - let's give credit where credit is due - but then, the other half dozen restaurants within a few paces can also share that. Menu: clichéd and touristic but we thought what the heck, everywhere looks good... Food as served: bland in the extreme and cold (see next comment)... I was valid from a to z, we were a little afraid of previous opinions, but frankly... it was a faultless! smiling servers, available, which are convenient, in the pack, a wide choice on the map. We ate well, it was well presented. frankly bravo to the whole team, we spent a good night!
Super address, beautiful terrace, staff is friendly, lots of tapas choices that are excellent! A valentine classic not to be missed!

Update 30 July 2022 . 17 years we follow Rodolphe, he has always been surrounded by professional people. In order to ensure a quality of service and quality in the realization of its dishes. Thank you. September 2020 Review: We ate 4 on the terrace, by a large sun in late September. Very nice terrace, staff too. A varied and original map, where we find well executed classics. as well as originalities like Asia and other Bowl.. We take an aperio, a dish and a dessert. Nothing to say about the quality and taste of the date, for an average ticket of 30 € per person. The floor remains a safe value, instead of clerics.
For a beer that hadn't arrived 20 minutes later, before the front. complained and finally got the beer they tried to charge me for a second time. if they want sub-standard service in valence, this is the place for them.
