I highly recommend salads: huge and very greedy! and desserts: a very wide and delicious choice (especially strawberry tiramisu) about service, it's fast, nice! and the place is pleasant.

La Mamounia is a Moroccan restaurant in downtown Valence. It's at Felix Faure Avenue, near the pedestrian center. It is a bit complicated to park but the main b... read more La Mamounia is a Moroccan restaurant in downtown Valence. It's at Felix Faure Avenue, near the pedestrian center. It is a bit complicated to park but the main bus station Pole Bus is next door. Inside there is a large room with Moroccan decoration, tiles and low armchairs, it is a rather intimate and welcoming place. You can't smoke. The dishes are typical of Morocco, there are several types of cuscus, with spicy sausages, chicken or lamb meat, or you can simply order with vegetables. The tagines are good, and quite large, you can share between two a tagine plus a salad. I don't like a lot of cakes but they looked good, to go for a afternoon tea with cupcakes would be a good place. They close at 11 o'clock at night, if you don't give you time, you can call for a delivery to the hotel or home.
