Don's Social House - Valemount

Came with my family to valemount bc on holidays and I really enjoyed the food and the breakfast is so good and supper too

First impressions should have been enough to leave. Posted on the white board "We are not a fast food restaurant. Food will be 15 to 20 minutes." The waitresses spent more time chatting than serving. It took 20 minutes to get our drinks and salad and when 75 minutes passed with NO Service we got up and asked for the bill so we could leave. The waitress threatened to call the cops if we did not pay for the food that had not come for more than an hour! Also dirty bathrooms, carpet etc.

We stopped for a late dinner after being re-routed because of forest fires on our regular route to Vancouver. The people were friendly, the place was open until 9, the seats were comfortable and the food was really good!

This place did not satisfy my standards and I am not hard to please. The furniture smells like it hasn't been cleaned in a while (the fabric).The washrooms (male) were not nice, the toilet was left un flushed full of waste with water leaking all over the floor and there was no hand towel left in the dispenser. The food was also disappointing, although it looked great when it came out the "homemade" beef patty was a long way from being tasty. The place looks family owned and they were not busy so this is disappointing for me as the cleanliness should have been up to scratch more. Our server was very friendly though so she gets one of the two stars I gave.

Came in during a rush when probably four couples arrived at the same time. The one and only waitress did an awesome job of seating everyone, taking orders and getting drinks. Lunch was served in an acceptable time and food was tasty. Staff was friendly and took the time to make sure all was satisfactory! Great job!
