Contribute FeedbackCustomers had mixed experiences at the restaurant, with some praising the food quality, like the fantastic full English breakfast and the simple yet delicious burgers. However, other diners were disappointed with the service, prices, and lack of children's menu. Issues included slow service, missing items, and a lack of apology or compensation for expired butter. Despite good food, high prices and poor service at times left some customers feeling ripped off and unlikely to return. While some enjoyed the experience, improvements in pricing, service, and customer relations are suggested to enhance overall customer satisfaction.
Stopped in for lunch and although the food was tasty £16 for a small salad is just way too much. I was still hungry when I left. I’m not sure if this is the normal price for food here or if they have increased to make the most of the eat out to help out? Also no toilet facilities or inside seating.
I've had 2 attempts to get to the farm shop this week. Alas a tractor was blocking the entrance on Wednesday. My second attempt today Sunday was told it wasn't opening as they were just selling pumpkins. Come on peachcroft you don't make it easy
My friend and I decided to try this restaurant for the first time. We ordered two cheese scones with butter and two coffees, and we sat in the garden. The scones arrived before the coffees, but they were small and not very cheesy. The butter had a strange texture and we later realized it was two weeks past its expiration date. The coffees were also small and not very hot. When we informed the waitress about the expired butter, she apologized and said she would inform the kitchen. However, we did not receive any further apology or compensation. We ended up spending £12.30 on a disappointing meal and decided not to return to this restaurant.
My friend and I recently met up at the cafe. This was not my first time visiting, but in the past I had avoided the toasted sandwich due to it always being too hard. Instead, I opted for what was listed as a caramelized onion tart. However, what arrived at our table was definitely not a tart. It was a savory biscuit with a small amount of onion relish on top. I also ordered bacon with it, but the overall dish was not worth the £13 that I paid for it. We noticed that a local Beefeater restaurant was advertising two courses for £11.50, making the menu at this cafe seem like a rip off in comparison. It's a shame really, as the cafe itself is a nice spot to meet with friends.
We planned to meet up with a friend for a catch-up at a restaurant. We ordered a coffee, slice of cake, burger, and a child-size lunch (which included salad sticks, a fruit drink, and a brownie). The coffee came with a bottle of water and two glasses. We had to wait a while for our food, and the coffee got cold, so we asked for a small jug of hot water. It wasn't very busy at the time, so we were unsure why there was a delay. Eventually, everything arrived and we enjoyed reminiscing as time flew by. However, when we got home, we realized that the brownie was missing, so we had to go back to collect it. The service could use improvement and the prices were a bit high.
