What Newtiyo doesn't like about The Teapot:
After seeing The Tea Pot on FB, being a local, thought we would pop in for scones an coffee. Placed our order an due to not being too warm weather wise, sat indoors. Firstly, the table was dirty from previous guests! (It was not busy at time of visiting). The scone I am sorry to say was not a scone! It was all crumbly! an flat in appearance! I am sure it has been frozen prior an warmed! The coffee was not hot but luk... View all feedback.
Great place to stop for a cup of tea and scones, but the bacon sandwiches are not worth £4. I would only expect to pay half of that.
A really lovely tea room run by a very friendly family. Service with a smile is definitely in evidence here! The scones are home made, as is the strawberry jam. Served with full-fat whipped cream (definitely NOT from a can) and a choice of teas and coffees. Very relaxing place to spend time in after a long walk or cycle ride. Highly recommended.
Truly my favourite place to spend an afternoon. Absolutely delicious fresh scones, and homemade jam which is superb. The scones are to die for. The setting is spectacular too, if the weather permits sitting in the tea garden is beautiful and peaceful. Many weekends in the summer months they host young musicians, authors and actors so worth keeping an eye out for events. They’ve now been running nearly forty years and you won’t get a more authentic cream tea in the county. Spectacular surrounding country for a walk or hike or cycle
An open air tea room, where you can relax with a cuppa and in the summer listren to music and eat a pizza.
After a good long walk around the White Horse it was a nice surprise to see The Teapot cafe at the bottom of the hill. It was a relief to sit down and have a lovely cup of tea and a bacon sandwich. Good quality bacon. There was a wide selection of sandwiches and other hot food what came out of the kitchen looked very good indeed. The service was friendly and efficient we will be back
