Contribute FeedbackNestled along the riverbank, this pub offers a mix of charming ambience and beautiful views, making it an appealing stop for walkers and boaters alike. While the warmth of the staff and the selection of Wadworth ales garner praise, opinions on the food quality vary. Pub classics and generous portions are highlighted, yet some diners express disappointment with certain takeaway options, like pizza. Many return for the welcoming atmosphere and the stunning riverside setting, emphasizing the Ferryman Inn as a quintessentially British experience. Despite minor decor concerns, patrons appreciate the comfort and friendly service throughout their visits.
We held our Christmas family get-together at the Ferryman Inn, 23 in total including children, the proprietors and staff were excellent, the food was ample, hot and tasty, including drinks the cost was very reasonable, we stayed for two nights, the room was showing signs of age, but the bed was comfortable, the room was warm, the view across the Thames was lovely, one drawback was that you could hear everything going on in the bar, maybe room number one is not the best choice, in saying that overall we enjoyed our stay and that was mainly down to the owners and staff, I will have no hesitation in staying there again.
We selected this restaurant/pub primarily because it was a gorgeous sunny day and it was located on the riverbank. It was very relaxing to watch the different boats go by on the river while sipping on a drink. I opted for the Salmon Fish Cakes, which were served with a delicious sweet chilli dip and fantastic chips. I also ordered a salad, which was simply lettuce and tomato. The staff was friendly and we couldn't find any faults with our experience.
The food was excellent, hot, and delicious. The service was also excellent. The location was lovely. We really enjoyed our lunch as a group on a coach tour.
This restaurant is a wonderful place to stop while walking along the Thames path. It has a cozy and welcoming atmosphere that is very relaxing. The food is delicious and the service is attentive. The beds are comfortable and the shower is lovely.
Got some takeaway pizzas as we've seen positive reviews on Instagram. I have to say I was disappointed in the quality of the food- had better pizzas from a supermarket. £23 for a margarita and a chick and sweetcorn. The chicken looked and tasted like pre-packed processed chicken. On this first experience I doubt I would try again.
