The Black Horse - Vale of White Horse

I came a few weeks ago to lunch with my husband. the eating was amazing and the young lady behind the bar “Amy” was her name when we had asked, was absolutely amazing that she visited our needs and always ensured that we were in order and had everything we needed. what a great lunch. she's a credit to the pub! we're coming back.

Mama has lived in the village for 15 years, so we have seen that the black horse in this time quite changes the hands. but I would say that this is by far the best we have seen since living in the village. we went today as a group of 17 years with family from peterborough and we all had a nice time while we felt really good looked around. most of us had a sunday roast that we all had impressed, plus extra gravure and lots of cauliflower. it was all nicely cooked. the children loved the outdoor play area and while it was quiet in the garden, they could even have a small kick with the football. we all said it was the perfect setting with everything we needed with a big group. nothing was too much troubled, and they let us all pay for what we ordered separately at the time. many families who have traveled down said they would go back in the opposite direction!

The Sunday roast at this restaurant is fantastic! Everything is cooked perfectly, and you get great value for your money. The staff is amazing and very accommodating. I will definitely return in the future.

I had a great experience at this pub! The staff is incredibly friendly and I will definitely be returning. The location is convenient and the drinks and menu are excellent. It's a family-friendly place and definitely worth supporting.

Came with a friend for a Sunday roast a couple of weeks back and can honestly say it's the best roast dinner I've had out in a very long time. Beats any other Sunday roast in the area by miles. The cauliflower cheese is *chef's kiss*. I plan to return with my family soon!
