Lains Barn - Vale of White Horse

What an amazing day! we booked lains barn before covid and how many others our high-time plans were clearly disturbed. among all the loads of changes of restrictions that communicate and remodel with lain barn, was far the easiest of all. we have always given options and they could not have come forward. at a point, martin the owner) even offered to marry in his house in barton house! the event manager, rachel, was always on the hand to react to emails in the morning and at night and make the process so easy. the venue itself was beautiful and they allowed a full flexibility to make the day as personal as we wanted. eating and drinking was exceptional and this was commented by all guests. the service we had throughout the day was incredible and we could not mistake any of our experiences from beginning to end. we feel very happy to have chosen lains barn as our venue, especially during such a challenging time and we would recommend it to everyone.

What a fantastic venue for a high time! we have married here in august 2021 after two previous shifts due to covid. they could not have been more helpful during our shifts. martin was always at the end of the phone, no matter what day or time and rachel was extremely responsive to emails. we could not work so hard by nigel on the day before and on the day of our high time and was so friendly. the scheune is fantastic value for money and everything is organized to ensure that your high-time day runs smoothly. our guests all commented on how beautiful the snow was and it was such a breath of fresh air from other places we visited that everything they see, for example the fairy, green, hanging baskets are included in the price of the snowy miet. they were so courteous with food choices, all from gluten-free to vegan options, where necessary. We could not recommend the evening stone pizzas enough, either our guests still cycle over them today! there are so many beautiful spots for photographs on the grounds, so they are not limited to photos pure in the snow. all in all we could not recommend lain barn enough and if they have luck getting the opportunity to marry here!

We had the most fantastic experience with Lains Barn. We needed to push our wedding date back 4 times as a result of Covid and the team could not have been more accommodating and helpful in what was already a stressful situation. The venue itself is absolutely stunning inside and out and is perfect for keeping guests within touching distance without it feeling cramped. The catering was excellent both the main meal and the cheeky pizzas we had later on in the evening. We could not recommend Lains Barn highly enough and you cannot go wrong with getting married here.

Where to begin? After looking at many venues and having a few options on the table, one viewing of Lains Barn was enough to knock all the other venues out of the running. Throughout the many months of planning, there are not enough kind things I could say about how helpful and hands on the owners and events staff were in supporting us plan our special day and accommodating any requests we had with no issues whatsoever. By the time the wedding day came, my husband and I felt so comfortable in knowing the team would ensure our wedding would go exactly according to plan, but we never could have predicted just how perfect everything would be. Everyone at Lains worked so tirelessly to give us the day of our dreams and I cannot count the amount of guests who have called or messaged to compliment on how stunning the venue was or how friendly and professional the staff were throughout. As the bride, I particularly appreciated how experienced the staff were with all the big and little things that can cause some stress during a wedding and how they were prepared for it all. I could go on and on with praises but from myself, my husband and all our guests, thank you Lains for the perfect wedding. Everything went right, better than I could have ever imagined, and I will never forget the care and attention everyone from Michael (owner) to Rachel (planner), Katy (on the day organiser) and all the staff-from catering to grounds and to the bar-put forward to give us the wedding of our dreams. Many, many thanks and much gratitude! 10/10 venue, would highly recommend.
