Bleu - Valdosta
Bleu
Description
Touted as a great spot for casual dining, Bleu Café offers a diverse menu focused on tacos and pizza, complemented by an impressive craft beer selection. While some patrons appreciate the ample portions and friendly service, others have noted inconsistencies, particularly in staff attentiveness and food quality. Decor is a mix of trendy and casual, although cleanliness could be improved. Despite a few criticisms regarding menu variety and service hiccups, many visitors find it an inviting place for gatherings, showcasing a neighborhood charm that keeps some returning. Ultimately, it balances comfort food and friendly service in a laid-back setting.

This is a great place for delicious café food. The staff is always friendly, even when the restaurant is busy. The service is consistently excellent. Be sure to come hungry, as the portions are quite generous!
The service was outstanding. Chip was our server, and he had a fantastic personality. I visited to take my daughter, who is a college student at Valdosta, out for lunch. I ordered the black bean hummus, which I wouldn't recommend. However, everything else was wonderful.
I really loved the ambiance and the food! The live entertainment added a lively and cohesive atmosphere to the experience. Although the staff seemed a bit stretched thin, they still provided excellent and accommodating service. Every seat was filled with friendly and engaging guests!
The Blue Cafe is a locally owned American restaurant/bar located in downtown Valdosta. FOOD 4/5): Bleu cafe offers various types of food such as pizza, nachos, tacos, salads, and BBQ plates. My favorites are listed below: A plate of three tacos $12): My personal favorite tacos are the Memphis, New Orleans, and Maui. The portion is not huge for those with large appetites but should fill most people up. BLT Avacado Sandwich $8) Jalapeno Chips $6): Great appetizer Greek Salad $7) Memphis Nachos $12): This is what most people get when ordering here DRINKS 5/5): Great happy hour specials such as $3 craft beer on draft with a good selection. AMBIANCE 3/5): Outdoor seating is great if the weather is nice. Inside it is dark and gloomy which is not my personal favorite but that is a personal preference.
Pleasantly surprised by this little cafe. We stopped by for lunch and had the chicken avocado sandwich and the pesto grilled cheese. Both came on a ciabatta bun. I normally dislike ciabatta buns because they are always hard but these were really fresh and the softest I've had. No fries served but their fried red potatoes were good, much like home fries. My only complaint was I wish there was more pesto on my chicken sandwich, it was really good. There was a ton of liqueur on the back wall so I'm guessing this place is fun at night, but I didn't get a chance to sample since this was a work trip : .
