Had a good time! Great beer but food was only ok. Service was slow for us as well and we had to ask multiple times for things but the place is great. Would go back but only for the beer and maybe stay right by the bar next time. Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4
It was my first day ever in Val D'Or and I was looking for a restaurant with some local character for a casual work lunch. Le Prospecteur delivered. The service was right on the mark, that atmosphere was fun and trendy, and the food was very tasty and well priced. They have a lunch time table d'hote during the week which was a winner for my colleague and I. Oh, let's not forget the beer. Lots of selection and the two we tried were top notch. This place is definitely worth putting on your list if your travelling in the area.
The decor is great, the staff exceptional, I had the beef tartare and it was good. Their beers are amazing! A must stop in Val d'Or!
Went here while on a business trip. Their menu is different than a typical restaurant which i like. I had the venison burger and it was excellent. The place is also a microbrewery. I tried the red beer and it was great. I went their on a Thursday night , the place was full but I was lucky to get a spot.
