My friend and I stopped here for a bite to eat during a day of sightseeing in Paris. We spotted cheese fondue on the menu and immediately wanted to give it a go. The cheese came in a large pot under a gas heat to keep it warm, it was yummy. It was accompanied by crusty French bread, cold cured meats and potatoes. Overall very yummy. Always loved this place and thought it was the best in the village. This time I was very disappointed. Ordered t bone veal steak. Waited way too long and finally got our steaks.... dry, impossible to chew. I could not really eat it and stayed hungry. I complained to the waitress about the meal. Great food, place was recommended to us by a friend. Getting a reservation can be tricky during busy season so plan ahead.
This is a great typical savoyard restaurant that doesn't pretend too much but just gets it right.
Once you go to this place, you can feel the love and heart that is in this business. The pizza cook is loud, but hearty and welcomes everyone. He had made two children behind the counter with him pizza when we first entered and one could say that the experience of the hand made pizzas something very special for them. Later they took the pizzas to the table of their parents to enjoy the fruits of their experience. The place is small so we had to wait, but one of the waiters was fast to offer us drinks options while we waited. We could enjoy some wine during our 10 minutes. The food prices are very reasonable and the quality is top notch! We had the Caprese appetizer, the pizza and the spaghetti Bolognese. It was delicious. We are so happy that we came here on our trip because it felt like a local experience and not one of these commercial places.
