This has been our pit stop for breakfast / quick snacks whenever travelling on NH4 towards Kolhapur. Food Quality is good. Quantity shrunk over the years. Clean restrooms. Adjacent to petrol pump so fuel and refreshment halts can be combined for long distance travelers. Overall good place. For all Maharashtrians, do buy a box of yummy CHIROTE here. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Virangula:
Probably one of the busiest place on the by pass road between Pune to Banglore near to Satara. This place is easy to locate once you cross the Khambatki ghat, You'll come across series of food joints where about 80-90% travelers tend to stop by in one of the joints on this road. Compared to all the joints on the highway, I found this place to have quality food, though getting a seat is definitely a big challenge sinc... View all feedback.
The food was delicious, the location is convenient, great for both families and small gatherings. The menu prices are reasonable.
Virangula was my always visited restaurant during the trip on the autobahn Mum-B'lore. the main reason was, fast service and availability of fresh, hot breakfast items. but in recent times, quality and quantity has drastically decreased. no more favorite pittop.
Visited Virangula today at about 12.15 pm.asked for toast butter, it was hopelessly bad, took long time, tasted like roasted papad, showed to the person on cash counter asked him to test, he didn't even opologize , the lade who did this toast was...arrogent indifferent, toilets were horrible smelly, vowed never to visit Virangula near Bhuienj, Satara again. It usd to be very good earlier.
This is an ideal place to take a break on the NH48 for food and fuel. There are shops selling munchies in the compound as well as a SBI ATM (which is generally out of order). It is located next to a fuel station. The...Maharashtrian dishes are the best along with the staple dosas. Prices are quite reasonable. Restrooms are clean and well maintained, a rarity on Indian highways. Parking is easy.
Food was just okay and ambience is not that great. Too many flies and restrooms were not usable at all.
